London Paris New York

London, Paris, New York

You can’t help but start to hum along when Ali Zafar sings “London to Paris, Paris to New Yoork” but at first when I tried to watch this I turned it off after 15 minutes, never to return to watching it. I sit here writing this now after actually watching the whole movie, finally  to give my thoughts…
If you aren’t familiar what LPNY is about, basically its about Nikhil a Punjabi guy from Bandra and Lalitha a small town girl, who happen to meet in London and soon realize they have feelings for each other, while also meeting in Paris and New York..  For more info on the movie click here!: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2064849/

The Good:
I personally find that Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hydari are such a good match for each other, he has the bad boy type of image, husky voice, dreamy hair and of course gorgeous and Aditi, is well so cute! Pixi nose, and shes got quite an innocent face! The casting in that department was great. Im glad they went with fairly fresh faces as the hero/heroin this time instead of the same old, I mean I love my Shah Rukh but he needs a break..
Ali’s Performance in LPNY was nothing less than his Meri Brother Ki Dulhan’s, in fact I think he surpassed that performance. I found Ali to be very fresh with his acting and it was really forced at all! Ik scene tha… When Ali lets it all out and I won’t give much away but it’s near the end and it made me realize how much potential this guy has! It’s a plus that he sings all of his songs too!
Aditi was amazing in this, she carried herself so well! I honestly think she could easily be up there with the actresses today because she came across very real with each scene she was in.. I really enjoyed her performance.
Music wise, it was not my favorite, I do think the songs could have been better… for me at times the songs got quite repetitive but that’s just me! Have a listen : http://ww.smashits.com/london-paris-new-york/songs-32752.html
Must listen to songs from the tracks are definitely Aaja, London Paris New York and Voh Dekhnay Mein (sung by Aditi Rao Hydari! Such an amazing song, it reminded me of something Amit Trivedi might do, its such a cute song)

The Bad:
I’m trying very hard to think of faults for this film but I can’t! It may not be everyones cup of tea as its not so typical.

Overall:
At first I was quite skeptical, when you read the synopsis, it seems like a boring love story as per usual but it was more. Yes it was mushy and gushy at times but what Bollywood film isn’t ? Having new  faces on the screen was refreshing and I liked that! Typically this isn’t a film I would usually go for, I thought this would be more of a time pass but no its definitely a good film and I recommend people watch it..
